So, today I had to frag my frogspawn (My very first ever fragging a coral!! yay!) because it was getting so close to the powerhead and was just getting big for my 10gallon. Everything went well. It fragged nicely. Now my question is, how long does it normally take for a frogspawn to open up again after a frag. I did it at night so when I put them back in the exact place they were teh lights would be out so they wouldn't be so stressed and they will come back on in the morning. You think they will open up again in the morning?

In my experience it depends on what the conditions are like where the new frag is positioned. For instance if I move my frag to a different location in the tank where it gets different flow and lighting it can take a few days for it to fully extend.

That's what I kindda figured so I placed them both back where they were origionally for that reason because I know that is where it was happiest. We'll see in the morning how they are doing and I want to wait until I know 100% they aren't too shocked and fully bounced back, then I will move the fragged piece to a different location :)

these species should actually be very hardy under the right conditions. If you didn't damage the skeleton during the fragging, it should be back to normal in no time, probably less than 24 hours
