    Has anyone attempted to frag this coral with a razor blade? if so what was your success rate. i have one that i bought on a plug that i want to take 2 small frag off and place else where in the tank...

    i also know about the toxins, so it doesnt need to be said...

    I done some searches and found Very little about it..
    How long have you had it..?
    It's a zoo ( zou ) right..?Could you post a picture..?
    And as you said, be careful..

    I would use a plastic bowl, with tank water and frag it outside of your main tank. But I know you also knew that..
    Sounds like a nice coral, sorry I was no help..

    this isnt the one i have in my tank, but its the exact species...im just wondering if i will be ok cutting this. i know i could wait and try to put a frag disk next to it to grow onto...but if i can chop it, id rather take that route...

    and they are considered Palythoas...and the poison is stronger than that in the Zoanthids...

    i googled like crazy and couldn't find anything pertaining to this, althought there is a lot of information on the coral itself.
