I haven't kept/fragged frogspawn, so I'll leave that to someone else.
    As for zoa's:
First and foremost is safety. They have the second most powerful toxin known in nature. Yes, they can kill. A good pair of gloves and some goggles are a very wise choice. Also, if you have any pets or kids, you're going to want to do this in a seperate "off limits" area to them while you are working. I like to do mine with a rubbermaid container in a nice, quiet place away from everything.
To frag, simple take a pair of good, sharp wire cutters and cut them as close to the base as possible. You can use a nice sharp x-acto knife to get really close as well. If you see brown goo come out, toss the polyp. Means you cut too high and its done for. After cutting off, just use a little super glue gel to stick it on the plug/rock/whatever surface you're fragging them onto. Wash all the tools/containers that you fragged with VERY well, and you're done

for frog spawn get either heavy duty cutters, or a dremel, a electric screwdriver may work, any way just cut the branching parts, much like you cut the branch of a tree. i used a rotozip i believe to do mine.
when you cut them make sure you cut them away from the head because the tenticles go a bit back in to the branch.

for the zoas i did mine a bit different i would just take a big hammer and chisel and split the rock there on in half a bunch of times until the rocks were frag size. also i didn't research how to do the zoas that just seem the natural way to do it.

Wow, does this mean that toxin can get in your skin just from handling a frag of zoanthids? Or is it only released after you cut the Zoa?

After the cut, it's not something they just release (that I know of).
