When i buy my frags i want to be ready to glue the calcium little round button thing thing the frags are attached to on my rock. So, what aquarium epoxy should i purchase? i would prefer not online but if i have to i will. What do you recommend? And it has to be a submersible one because i cant take any of my rocks out.

    Thanks,
    Ryan

o awsome i already have that. And its not toxic for the water? remember, i cant let it dry on a rock and then put it in the tank. I have to put it directly in the tank...

I've had success using the loc tite brand super glue (ultra gel) from home depot. About 8 bucks and it works great. When you get a super glue for aquarium use, just make sure that its a thick gel type. Also make sure that it is a cyanoacrylate, you got that and your fine. I stick a nice thick globe on my frag, count to five and then proceed to place it where ever I want it. Hold for sixty seconds, release, then enjoy.

I've used marine grade epoxy in the past, but never got the skinny on why it was safe, and also it was more expensive per application than the super glue.

super glue was originally developed for military medical use
it was invented as a way of quickly repairing wounds on humans , without the need for stitches etc - making the field application very convenient

hence the product is inert and thus totally reef safe

    I've used superglue lots lately...
If you jiggle when you are trying to put the coral in place......the glue drups. Is that a word. I found more is not better...
    At least in Fragn

Super glue gel works well but I've had some Acro break off smooth right where I glued it to the rock and it was my understanding the rock must have not been "clean" like most glue applications say both surfaces must be. Now I use epoxy on everything and the epoxy quickly gets covered in calcium growth.
Here's the epoxy I use with excellent results. Meed it underwater, not in the air and stick your coral on/ into it. You LFS should have it for $8 a tube.
