    Hi all!
I'm new here and new to the hobby. I'm starting with a 75 Starfire glass. I'm building a 36" tall oak stand with a full open front. I'm helping a friend of mine build my sump. The 'fuge is about 30"x20"x16". About 25 gal. area for ls, lr, plants, a few critters, maby a mangrove or two. Large area for my ASM G3 skimmer, heater, etc. My tank is drilled for 2-1.5" drains in a skimmer box and 1300 gph closed loop circulation pump. Two Little Giant 4-MDQX-SC pumps for return and closed loop.

I have taken a while to get all this together because I don't have a tone of money to shell out all at once, but I do want to learn how to do this well.
I hope to have the tank up by the end of the month so I can cycle it with uncured live rock. I wonder if I should put my ls in before the rock cures?

Sorry to go on so long, I'm just real excited!
    Thanks,
    Derek

    Welcome, Best of Luck.
I'm not too sure about using the uncured rock approach to cycling but good luck.

Just a thought about cycling my tank with live rock. I was thinking it would be fun and a way to cure some fresh live rock instead of using another tank. 200 lbs. or so of live rock would take a pretty large curing tank.
