    The difference between a cleaner shrimp and a pistol is the fact that the pistol has burrows to hide in and some good snappers for defense.

    Not disagreeing with your points, however they are also a lot smaller. If they have no problem handling cleaners, I imagine pistols can't be too hard for them to handle. Plus they must be long nosed for a reason ;)

    I really am just speculating on all of this, so I would love to hear if someone has successfully housed both in a smaller tank longterm.

    Kool.... if u know all this, then u are on a right track.... why didnt u research on fishes? and yes never ever trust LFS, all of them suck.......

    +1... totally agreed.

    While some can give decent advice in one area or another, they all have something to sell; from inappropriate livestock to unnecessary gadgets and additives to quick-fix miracle snake oils, there's always something a newbie *needs* for their first SW tank. ::)
