    Dear readers --

I have a freshwater test kit from my old tank. It tests nitrite, nitrate, high range ph, and ammonia. Does this work for my saltwater tank?

I've been using it for a few months, and when the tank started it clearly registered a nitrite/ammonia etc spike, but I'm not sure how entirely accurate it is.

Also, can you guys recommend a good saltwater test kit? Or, where I can buy a cheap refractometer?

    -David

I'm sure it will work as long as it reads in the range for SW like ph and so......I use API Master kit its easy and I got it at the LFS for about $40 and it lasts for months.

if you get a new test kit dont use the red sea test kit that's sold at persmart and petco, i hate mine and will be switching to API test kits
