    Hey guys
I'm moving so I decided to break down my saltwater tank and go for freshwater in my new place. I had a 54g corner and now switched it with a 36g corner. I never have much luck so i figured id ask before doing.

Lighting - I have the regular Light/lamp that goes with the tank. I don't plan on having live plants. I looked at the Marineland Double Led light. Am I alright with the basic lighting it comes with?

Gravel - I want it to be an easy clean. I read a lot about going with sand. Is that a smart move? CaribSea Instant Aquarium Freshwater sand? Or stick with the gravel? Still deciding black or tan sand.

Filter - I have the Aquaclear 50. I also have a fluval 305 from my past tank. Will the aquaclear be enough? Should i have all 3 media inserts? Carbon, ammonia, pellets?

Fish - I want the max of fish. Small fish of course. What fish are a must to keep tank clean?

Thanks guys for answering any of the questions. It will help me out a lot and hopefully have a successful tank.

See answers in red and good luck and enjoy. Take your time when cycling the tank and adding in fish. See if you can get some filter material from another cycled tank to put in your filters to help start your cycle and get it to complete sooner. Aerate the tank well for the Otocinclus if you get them.

    I'd ad some plecos too

    Lighting seems good

I'd go with gravel or large stones

You definitely want a large filtration for a heavy load just not to big where it makes the water swift with currents

Glowfish are small and pretty kinda like neons
