I have always put my heaters in the overflows to hide them. Well I didnt glue the adapter on the bottom of the All Glass Durso return. ( like the instructions state) Well I glued the one in the other overflow because it was always popping off. But the one that I had installed the heater in I didnt glue. Guess what it popped off. The problem with that was then the overflow drains to the bottom and now the heater is exposed to air. My wife had run down at 3 am last night to switch some laundry (we are night owls) she came up saying something was burning. The heater had melted the end off itself and had just started to melt the plumbing on the Durso just the surface so no real damage except to the heater. Now both fitting are glued.
