I put my Frog Spawn a little too close to a piece of Xenia.

    Can it Pull through?

Should I just cut it off now?

This is what it looks like after the warfare.

It might still make it. Kinda doubt it, but it might. I have not had much luck with xenia once it starts looking as bad as that. If you have iodine, you could try an iodine dip to see if it bounces back......or make sure that the dKH of the tank is at or around 12. Xenia loves higher dKH. That's about all you can do. It won't kill a tank to leave it alone and take a chance on it dying.......so at the very least just wait it out.

    It does look pathetic though!!!!!!

please just remove it and grow another one from the ones you still have, if conditions are right it should take like 2 wks, seriously they grow fast!

    Update:

It has been one week and the little guy is 85% better. He will live and look good as well. I guess it was worth the one week observation.

My Xenia has been living happily in my toilet for the past 3 months... kidding. But honestly, I've seen Xenia pull through just about everything, and live in the worst conditions.
