If you see any brown jelly ie. necrotic tissue, you can use airline tubing to siphon off the dead/necrotic tissue and giving the coral a bath with an Iodine solution like TM Pro Coral Cure or similar product is likely the best way to treat the problem as the iodine will act as an antiseptic and hopefully kill prevent the spread of the tissue necrosis.

By 4-5 mths old, do you mean that you've had it cycled for that long? Personally it doesn't look that old at all and when most people have problems like this it's because they aren't really giving the whole truth about how well the tank is cycled.

Having said that, I wouldn't mess with adding more lighting and a gfo reactor because I can confidently say thats not your problem. I'd keep an eye on your parameters and make sure you've really cycled the tank. If things are changing the corals can either need time to adjust or something could be off that they aren't liking. I really doubt it's low lighting or phosphates though.

Just like pghsteeler said it might be too much flow. In my experience my frog spawn wouldnt come out intill it had just the right amount of flow.

    just a thought

maybe your lfs where you bought it will board it for you until you feel your tank is stable enough to try it again.......that way the poor little dude doesn't die in the mean time...my lfs is good that way
