i plan on trying a frogfish or leaf fish in a ten gallon aquaiurm, "NOW HOLD ON" you say, and with very good reason, these fish need a minimum of 30 gallons it says, but i politely dissagree. they are surprise feeders and being so means they dont move much. i have had one before, got it on frozen then accidentily squwered him when trying to feed him. so now knowing more about them i have been wanting to try one for a while and i will hopefully have a job this summer so i can pay for one. so heres what im planning:

10 gallon aquaiurm w/ i piece of live rock going since 10-27-09.
    chaeto
    mangroves
    caulerpa *sp*
    add more br from RC

i think it will work but i just want to hear feed back on this before i did anything rash.

I know a few with froggies in nano tanks. They don't need much space, because they don't really swim.

Keep in mind, they rarely will eat anything that is not live food. My friend had his frogfish (named Evil Kermit) ina nanocube 12g in his bedroom connected to his other reef tanks, and it did great in there. He had an opportunity to get a 29g nanocube so he upgraded to a bigger tank in his bedroom.

I have taken care of his fish tanks for weeks at a time, and while neat, they do require pretty much daily feedings of live stuff. He feeds his 1 ghost shrimp a day. He has other corals and emerald crabs, hermits, and a couple clams in his frogfish tank with no issues.

I'm thinking he meant skewered. Hard word to spell. I am guessing he had some food on a feeding stick and the fish swam too hard at the stick and impaled himself.
