frogfish ideas. do you think it would work?

    oh, havent ordered it yet. might not if i dont hear from anyone having a positive experience. what else could i use. i was thinking caulerpa but that isnt really colorful.

    it might have been a weedy scorpionfish. depending on type size and color that could be a nice price for one.

    yea im hopeing he does. i also want to know that coupon code i got for participating the ugliest tank contest. im about to order my stuff except for rock and just need that coupon code.

    ive had one of those, while it was cool it wasnt really that amazing. i want a leaf fish more. frog fish are finicky eaters and dont adapt well to tank life most of the time. scorpionfish on the other hand eat just about anything and adapt very well.

    Like was said before water quality is probably why everyone recommends larger tanks. Of course it might be possible to keep them in a smaller tank but you just need to be more careful about your nutrient parameters. It will be more work to maintain the params generally.

    What happens if you find out that your macro algae isn't able to keep up with the nutrients being generated? Do you have a backup plan, or do you mind doing lots of water changes?

    Just some things to think about and plan for to avoid the ASAP post in a few months about your nitrates skyrocketing. :)

    scorpionfish can tolerate nitrates but im confident that the mangroves and macro algae will keep up with it.
