Is there a simple way to tell if a frogspawn is the branching type or not? Will it branch from lower on the skeleton or from where the head currently protrudes?

The skeleton types are completely different. You will easily be able to tell by looking at it... Pics?

This is after the night I got it and the shrimp decided to nom on it. It's the most retracted I've ever seen it. (I thought it wasn't going to make it) [IMG]

This is the day after I got rid of the shrimp (Took them back to the LFS)

I don't have a current pic of it but it's looking good spread out everything looks good. It seems to have made a full recovery and is flourishing quite well.

Looks like the typical skeletal structure of the branching variety to me. They tend to grow fairly quickly...that one looks pretty small so it may be a while before you see any noticeable growth, but in time it should grow additional heads.

I agree. I have a non-branching and it looks very different

Yes it's growing rather quickly it's much larger then that last picture now. Well that's good to know it's the branching kind but where do the branches come from? down on the skeleton or somewhere near the head?

Both, LOL! New small heads can branch from the skeleton...the heads can also sometimes split.

Go figure... Well that's good to know I think I might see one starting to form but it's hard to tell, there's definitely something growing but I don't know what it is. I'll have the wifey take a picture of it and make it clear.

The first thing looks like a Vermetid Worm, nothing serious but might want to hack it off because it could irritate the coral with it's net.

I don't even know what I'm looking at in the case of the lower thing.
