    Hack it off as cut it or scrap it? As for the bottom thing it was on the LR when I got it it hasn't really grown or died? It's hard and red. Really I have no idea what it is.

    With the worm, the tube is pretty tough. If you can, pinch it/crush it completely with a pair of needle nose pliers. If you can't get the leverage or don't want to put a greasy tool in your fish tank then you could try to sort of pry it off with something sharp. Other options are to cover the tube entrance with various things like kalk paste, coral puddy, and even super glue gel.

    I've got some pliers I use for my chain-mail their clean so I should be able to crush it nicely.

    Well I did the deed this morning and it was surprisingly easy... agitated the coral a little so it would retract, pulled it to the surface small pliers made quick work of the worm cleaned it up a little then back in the coral goes and he's already expanding as i type.
