I just bought a frogspawn coral from my LFS and since I put it in my tank it has been closed. Is this normal? I left the lights off and acclimated it. I am going to leave the lights off for the rest of the day.

If you just bought it today, perfectly normal. I would say give it about two days to acclimate and if it still has not opened up, then start to check parameters and such.

What kind of flow did you put it in?

I had it near one side of the tank but I realized that it was under the flow of the filter and right near the powerhead (which isn't going to be on until tomorrow) so Imoved it away. It will be in a low-medium flow area.

For the most part with frogspawns, often times than not it's a flow issue if they seem unhappy. Spawn love low flow! Just enough flow to lightly sway the polyps is often what they enjoy. Mine all open op huge under that same flow. Give it time to acclimate to your tank for 2 - 3 days before getting worried.
