I recently got a frogspawn yesterday with 3 heads but had to drive from jacksonville and it was in a bag for a few hours. Than I drip acclimated it for about 2-3hours it acted like it wanted to open up but just half inflated :-/

    my parm. are

    salinty: 1.025

    ph: 8.2-8.4

    nitrite: 0 ppm

    nitrate: 0 ppm

    ammonnia: 0 ppm

could it be stress? also I added two misbar clowns but they are tiny tiny barrly .5 inches

its a 20 tall and has been set up for about 2 years

also I had to remove a blue damsel yesterday to save the clowns so I did upset some of the rocks

The flesh is easily damaged during transit. A protozoa sets in and causes what is called brown jelly disease. The heads melt away fairly fast, and it's usually a good idea to cut the bad heads off to save the good.

Try some bone cutters if you do indeed cut it back.

yep bone cutters, look for the brown slime which is bacteria. Sucking it off isn't going to fix it. The bacteria spreads and will eliminate the whole specimen. Also the clownfish may host the Frogspawn and agitate it more.

Next time just temperature acclimate it and make sure the lights are dimmed or off. Also what light did the original guy have and you have? Mine were stressed for a day or two when switching from flourscent to LED's.

They are very finicky but they can bounce back quickly.

    Any pics?

2-3 hours seems like a long time to acclimate it to me after a long drive. I like to get my coral in as soon as I can. (under an hour)
