Hi bought a two headed piece of frogspawn over a week ago and stuck the base in the sand.

Is that an ok place for it? Now that its acclimated should I move it up and would it be ok to lay on a rock if I should move it up? What is the best placement for it to grow/multiply?

    Thanks!

under the MH lights you have in the sig - the sand bed will be ideal IMO
maybe not directly under one of the lamps though

they are not keen on strong flow IME
They dont like being to close to any rockwork as this can prevent them fully extending (fear of damage) IME
They dont like being handled, so always waft over them to ensure they are closed up and then move using tongs on the hard stem
avoid making skin contact with the flesh, oils in the hand can damage these corals
they close down at night, and often secrete a brown string of slime which tangs and other fish eat sometimes)

    hope that helps

I will take a picture of it and post it to show you soon.

I also picked up 7 frags today of my first SPS....I will take pics of them too....

Do you feed the frogspawn or hammer anything - target feed?

I do, once in a while. I take some brine or mysis shrimp soak in a little tank water with pythoplankton and put a 2liter bottle top over coral shoot a little on their heads and leave them alone for a few hours. If I dont use the bottle trick my fish pick at the corals to get the shrimp.
