Frogspawn Splitting??

Bought this branching green frogspawn a few weeks ago with 2 rather large heads. The ones mouth always looked funny and I wasnt sure why but as the weeks go by I find it starting to look as if maybe its splitting into 2 mouths?? Still only 1 stalk though.



You can tell in the first picture when the lights first come on but by midday it becomes much more difficult as in the second picture. Is it splitting?

Under the right conditions they will keep splitting and splitting. They will split and start to grow their own stalk and seperate. You will see two heads and 2 stalks that are connected by flesh but after a while the flesh will split too. i started with two heads and now have two colonies with 20 plus heads each. Feed them and they grow faster.

 

What are you feeding yours?

I usually feed mysis or whatever other frozen food i am feeding my fish. I use a turkey baster to squirt the food right into them.
