I purchased a med frogspawn on saturday and aclimated it over an hour or so. It was looking great so far, but when I got home today I noticed a large buldge in the center of one of the heads. It looks like it is where the mouth would be if it were an anemone. Ballooning out, translucent. Other than that I think it looks o.k. not as full as it was yesterday maybe. Any suggestions?

Pic in about 15 mins as soon as a get enough charge on my camera to take one.

Sorry the focus is out a bit. Click to enlarge. Hard to get close ups cause my point and shoot keeps auto focusing in the moving coral.

in my opinion, thats way to soon to be growing another head but dont take my word on that, i have little experiance with the growth of euphyllia species.

That carries the assuption that the additional head started growing the day it was placed in his tank. Maybe that's not the case?

The coral looks pretty good to me!!

Thats what I thought, hope someone comes back soon. It looked soooo good until today. If it was a human cell I would say the SG of the water was low and it was swelling due to osmotic pressure. Why can't aquariums be as simple as people!

I hope that is all it is..Could a new head even sprout from directly in the center of an old one?
