I'v had my frogspawn for about 3 weeks, he started out fine but has been closing up little by little since. A week ago I moved him from mid level with medium flow to the sandbed with lower flow(looking for improvement) and he has just gotten worse. It;s so closed up I can barely see a single polyp.

I have a 29G Biocube w/ PC lighting, been testing and all parameters are good.

    Any suggestions?

what params are you testing for, the basics or extended? Can you post your readings for AM, NI, NA, ALK, CA, MG, & PO4 please.

How many watts is your PC fixture?

Lower flow is better for frogspawn.

36w total? That doesn't seem like enough light to support it, do you have other corals?

Sounds like a single bulb fixture. How long has your tank been set-up & are you keeping other corals?

IMO you will need more light than that to support it. You can get away with maybe softies like mushrooms, zoas, or low-light coral like leathers.

It may also have something to do with your params, are you using RO/DI water, do you run a skimmer, need more info on what your set-up is like if we are to figure out what the issue is. I think lighting is playing a good part in it though.

With the pc lighting I would definitely move it up higher in the tank.

I agree, move it up and leave it there for a bit to see if it improves. You probably won't see any change immediately while it settles.
