frogspawn vs branching hammer

    i was told by my LFS couple years back that i have a branching hammer, now looking at the branching hammer, i can't tell wether it is the frogspawn or branching hammer, they both green w purple tips, one is a shape of circle another is shape of an oval is that the only different?

    In my experience the shape of the tip of the tentacles is the easiest way to tell and is the main difference between them. Frogspawn are round and the hammers have more elongated/oval/hammer like tips.

    Sometimes the tentacles will have slightly different structures as well, such as having tentacles branching off of other tentacles etc, but it isn't consistent as far as I've seen.
