    I'm on the case

Well yesterday i made a case for myself! Tired of those awkward testing boxes that becomes wet and deformed after a while, so i decided to make it more professional looking lol .

I bought this case at Zellers for $ 30

    Its a gamer's case

Got my foam for $ 5 at a foam dealer, google foam retailer in your area , you'll find one. Got the cheapest medium grade foam.

I've cut the foam to fit the compartments, with a sharp butcher knife, its better with a straight blade .

The case had a strap, i used it to stabilize the foam in place.

I didn't cut all the way to the bottom for most of the bottle, its more stable. Some of the cut are a bit square, but its a DIY project remember...so if you want the professional job go buy the $ 150 case.

For the seringes and the spoons i just made a cross cut , instead of a hole and it works great.

    Tank crash

I think i got a tank crash or close to it. I was getting my Mg up to get rid of hair and bryopsis algae. But i guess it whent too hight and during the night the level reached over 1500ppm so now this morning i'm in damage control mode , water change water change water change i'm out of Ro for now after my second water change . Dam stupid of me... i though i was being so carefull and so clever too. Show you how much bull we tell are selfves sometimes. Now i hope the coral and the clam will survive, the fish seems ok , the snail seem to be burning up , poor thing. Using the doser for this is not a good idea now i know got to do it yourself.

Anyway thats my report for now DAH!!:-[

That is all from high mag?

I've been meaning to ask... is this a new tank with new water etc? I've been meaning to ask because you are stocking that sweet tank pretty fast from what I've seen from occasional posts here. I've been there - it only goes down until you slow down. ;) Is that a haiku?

I like your case by the way!

the corals are bleaching if their white. In other words, their dying. Its kinda hard to reverse it, but it can be done. Just keep up with the water changes and that sounds like the only thing you can do right now. And wait. That is if the only prolem magnesium because 1500ppm doesnt sound too high. The recommended levels are around 3250ppm

Again, thats probably the best thing you can do. Very stupid question here but i didnt read the whole thread and might have missed it and im sure its fine but your 100% sure the "great stuff" is aquarium safe? Maybe its releasing toxins... thats really the only thing i can think of if you params are good. Sorry to hear this

EDIT: if you would post the results to the params that could help too
