    A disaster

I have returned after 2 months to a disaster. My automated system failed and i lost the tank. $ 2800 worth of damages to my pumps alone. The auto top OFF stoped and well the system did as well. No more circulation, filtration, the skimmer is burned up, the return pump dry so is the sump and the fuge too, a real mess. The fishes are still alive and ok, but look is awful, will show pict of this tragedy.

Sorry for the mishap, I'm hearing too many stories of automated top-off systems not working properly. Seems like you've had a rough start, hopefully you will be able to get back up soon.

Oh no! Your tank had my favorite DIY rockscape. I'm so sorry to hear about the damages, but I'm relieved to hear about the occupants of the tank. I hope you have time and the strength to deal with this.

    The experiment is over

Yes i did. That was the point you see; with my kind of job, i was trying to build an automated system that could deal with my abscence and cope while i was gone. The experiment failed! The system is $ 6 000, i have
$ 2800 worth of damages plus the speciemens i've lost $ 1 000 . In view of the economic climate and huge amount it would take to rebuild with no garanties that this wouldn't happen again ; i'm force to abandon the project for now, for now. Thanks for your kind and supportive words guys.:(
