well i dont know how many folks have even looked at this but the other day i was changeing out a MH bulb from my coralife 492w and decided to take a look at the cooling fan. well i noticed it had a filter media sandwiched between two grills. i took it out to take a look and BAM! a clogged mess!!
i dont even see how it had any airflow at all. its been on the tank about 2 yrs and i bet its never been cleaned.
now this next part.... you will be sceptical about, and i dont blame you because i didnt believe it either. but instead of my daytime high temps reaching 82-84 degrees they only got to 78-80. thats coooool.

and bump on the stock list on prior pages.

Hi SAABtech - its a 125 gallon with sump - whats the total gallonage in your system please?

I like your list - except for the Lo Vulpinis (Fox face) I know they can mow hair algae - Ive seen them working at local airport DT - all the hair algae in the tank is a uniform 1cm tall - seriously I kid you not, the fish they have all seem to ignore the final CM of the GHA?????

i would have to guess on the total gallons. i dont know the formula and im just quoteing what i was told by the prior owner for the 125 spec. in reality the tanks dementions are-- (51"x24"x21" tank) (15"x12"x12" deep area of the sump) (31"x15"x8" shallow area of the sump with skimmer)

totally rethinking everything. i really am taking it slow when it comes to the stock list. because i just aquascaped and dont want to brake it back down anytime soon. (unless i decide to get rid of the keyhole) and that would be the last time for a long time. (hopefully anyway) and i dont have anymore hair algae. just fighting diatoms.

rounding up your list but not including Fox face I get it to 35 inches of fish, allowing for adult sizes

generally in SW a guideline is 1 inch of fish to every 4 gallons of water, Oxygen being the prime reason for these guidelines - so a good gas exchange and efficient skimming can make a difference

so I still feel minus the Fox face, your stock list would be OK, if built up slowly to ensure bacteria copes with each introduction before continuing to introduce
