I actually like the scape...but again, you perspective of it will change over time as you spend time staring at your tank.....Everything looks really good. Make sure to keep us posted along the way especially with pics! :)

Looking good! I'm also a serial aquascape tinker'er. My advice, is once you get it setup in a way you like, make yourself accept it and don't change it without a REASON :)

    Update

Added ball valves on overflow and return, and a check valve on the return.

Worked on aquascaping and securing the rocks together

Not overly happy with the Aquaeon Proflex sump. Skimmer and return in the same area makes for a metric **** ton of micro bubbles. I extended the output of the skimmer over to the fuge section. Seems to be better thus far.

Thinking of either a custom made sump, or moving the Fuge to its own tank with an overflow back down to the sump

Benefits of a fuge on its own; I can make it like a 30 gallon all fuge with lots of rock and chaeto

So its been a month... Many changes in my tank

    Custom sump
    2 x Radion G2's
    BRS Dual Reactor
    MP10wES
    Reef Octopus skimmer
    7 Stage RODI
    ATO w/Kalkwasser

Tank has been great with all additions, and water parameters are nice and stable.

Got a good sized Cuc, a couple clowns, peppermint shrimp, kale tang, flame angel and coral beauty.

Also picked up some frags of zoa, and was given a Monti confusa and a green acro. Everything seems good so far.

Going to go pick up a Apex controller tomorrow and get it up and running over the weekend.

Wow, that is a lot of great equipment you just got! Congrats. And just a couple notes on the livestock. First, one month is a relatively short time to add 5 fish. Ideally you would space out each fish (if they are not paired like clowns) by at least 2 weeks. Second, curious to see how the 2 dwarf angels do. Normally this is a no in a smaller tank (which a 75 gal is still on the smaller side believe it or not!). Hopefully they do well together. Finally, while the Zoas should do just fine, it may be too early to have added SPS, especially an Acro. Ideally you would want a mature tank before adding SPS. Although if it is a Green Slimer Acro, it may do ok since they are one of the "easier" Acros. Just make sure they get a lot of light, a lot of flow, and feed the tank with an SPS appropriate food (like Oysterfeast) a couple times a week.

Otherwise, congrats on the new stuff and post some updated photos!

I thought the same but a good friend and long time reef junkie has been helping me out a long the way. Half of my LR, and 60 or so gallons of water came from his 450g tank.

The acro, Monti and 3 fish came from his tank too. He's been teaching me lots and keeping a close eye on the water parameters and livestock health.

Everything is good so far... Corals look good, fish are healthy and eating well and water parameters are pretty solid with no major swings. Lots of coralline spots popping up on the back wall, power heads and on the overflow.

The angels appear to be getting along but the flame is more aggressive and it need be I will take one of them out.

We are going to leave the livestock and corals in place as long as the tank remains in good order, and let it settle in for the next few months.

It's quite an enjoyable hobby and I look forward to see how the tank matures and those corals propagate.

Looks good. I like that you have a separate room for some of the stuff. I may try and move my sump downstairs someday.

Congrats on a nice set up.

Picked up an Apex controller, and got it all hooked up. Started some programming, but just basic stuff for now. Power heads, return, skimmer, reactor, and heater are on the controller right now.

Decided to put the tank on its own 15 amp circuit to the breaker panel. Installed a GFCI plug and 4 more plugs downstream on a switch so I can shut them off. Also installed an e-stop that's located by the door to the sump room.
