So, i purchased a JBJ ATO and its dumped water on my floor now about a half dozen times... ive checked EVERYTHING, done everything i can to make sure its working right, with no luck, due to my ATO failing so many times, im frustrated, my salinity is all out of wack, my fish look bad, my corals arent doing good... and im about to throw in the towel... any words of advice on how i can fix it? or i may be out for a little bit.. until i get my house built, and the tank in the basement not on an apt carpet floor.... :-/

The JBJ ATO is junk. I have heard of a lot of issues with them, but had the chance to get one cheap for my frag tank. The thing is really a joke. It comes with two sensors, but there is no way to set up one sensor as a backup, to turn the it off if the other gets stuck or malfunctions. Often the light will be on, but the pump will turn off and I need to unplug it, then plug it back in etc... The thing is really just a cheap toy IMO. My other ATO is a Reef Fanatic and it it soooooo much better. I've had it for like 5 years now without issue. Also, tunze is very good.

The only thing that can help some is using a very slow dosing pump as this will prevent it from malfunctioning too quick. I'm probably dumping mine and getting another reef fanatic though. What a waste of $59....

completely agree, its pretty frustrating, i JUST checked everything, filled my tub back up (25galllons) with RO water, made sure it stopped at the right level, (it did) sat down watched some ghost hunters, turned around and saw yet more water pouring out of my stand... sigh...
