Is there a way to test the liquid in frzn foods to check for nitrates etc. I've read from numeruos people that it's loaded with them, if Pierceye has no problems with not rinsing, I'd rather do the same and save myself the hassle.

Who rinses their food? Who does not?

I never rinsed mine. The corals seemed to like the extra. I've been seeing everyone say they do it now though, and thought maybe I should this time. Stuff people swore by years ago is considered bad now, and stuff I did back then & got yelled at for by people is now considered good...I never know what to think now!

IMO the fine particals from frozen foods like Ocean Nutrition Prime Reef or Formula One or Two are benificial to alot of things in your tank....corals....inverts and small fish

Good point, I think I might stop rinsing frzn foods unless I see and increase in po4's or no4's. :)
