I have an extra 20 gallon tank. Would i be able to keep just one of these in a 20? I have everything I need for this project. I have about 30-40 pounds od live rock, live sand, heater, hob filter, and lights. I don't want any corals so I don't need strong lighting. Would a Fu Manchu be ok In a 20?

yeah, it's definitely doable, just remember to do constant water changes. I've had one in a 20 gallon as well, and it did just fine. I know people are going to say you should upgrade (which is definitely always a good idea), but if you're asking if it's alright - it's alright. It's doable, although, I would suggest upgrading if you ever have the chance. :)

your gnna need a protein skimmer and your going to have to do 10% water changes everyweek. But when you start feeding them mysis and stuff it wont be that bad.

Alright I think I might try it out. How do I get the Fu Manchu lionfish to eat frozen foods?

I have my Fu in a 25g on my night stand. Awesome critter. He still doesn't have light for his tank yet. I built a LED fixture to hang from the ceiling. Then we decided it was time to move and didn't want to drill holes in the ceiling. Hopefully soon he'll have light... poor guy.

try and trick it with krill.

ie. feed it a glass shrimp (ghost shrimp) then try a piece of krill when its in feeding mode. its hard for fu man chus though.

Use dead ghost shrimp whenever possible over krill. Krill has be linked with certain ailments in fish.
