    or you could set up a fresh water tank for ghost shrimp, just buy a ton and they will start to reproduce. free food.

    It's a lot of work to raise ghostshrimp. You have to set up multiple tanks for different stages.

    oh ok well i have a 5 gallon and ill stock it up with like 100 ghost shrimp.

    You'll have a lot of loss if you stock it so heavily. Are they hard to get in your area?

    really?, we had a fw vivarium and just kept them in the "lake" part of it and they did really well, i assumed they were reproducing as we were starting to see smaller ghosties poppin up and we only bought big ones.

    To get them to grow as a sustainable food source... not so easy.

    I use to sell shrimp back in the days when WC seahorses was all that were available... and they were a beast to get onto frozen.

    now we never pursued getting the fry any bigger we just threw them in their as bonus for the fish. so i was assuming forgive my ignorance.

    they are pretty easy to get around my area.
    so i should feed dead ghost shrimp instead of krill?
