That would be my guess. I am not 100% that it would work fine with no problems. But I think with a few connections you could get away from having to add more overflows and pumps. Just let the water flow on its own from the sump.

seems like a good idea, thanx for the input. for some reason im still leaning to a small pump and drilled drain holes. i really dont know what im goin to do yet. again thx for the help i will consider your ideas for sure.

Don't forget that you will want the flow in the fuge considerably slower than the sump. Thats why the pump will work better. I would personaly go with a overflow instead of drilling, or drill the hole really high. If for some reason the power went out and your hole was to low, all the water in your fuge would keep flowing into your sump, then you will end up with your fuge on the floor.

ya a small pump i think is goin to work well, as for over flow my sump can handle all the overflow from my DT and my futre fuge, its a 50g container that right now only holds 30g of water. as for a hob overflow or drilling i dont know yet.

Drilling would be better. There is no chance of the syphon breaking on a drilled tank. Overflows are fine on the top of a water system but if you add it to the bottom (fuge to sump) you run into the chance of the flow from fuge to sump breaking. Then all of the water in your sump could end up on the floor after overflowing the fuge.

as long as the water level in the DT is igher than the fuge you will be fine with gravity feed. the bottom of the tank dosen't have to be lower than the fuge just the water level
