I definitely want sand! I think I'll do like 3 inches deep. Is that considered a DSB?

Congrats on completing the drilling. Not really much to it?

Glad you got over the teeth gnashing, procrastination and sweating to get going. Looks real good.

I did a kitty 2" litter layer under about 3" of sand in my last fuge and it did wonderful. I never ever had a problem. I also never had a problem with nitrates.

Thanks for the link Steve! :)

Haha I didn't believe you for ONE SECOND!! Mr. tailspot started venturing over towards the other clams, so he has got to go!! That was my true motivation. But here's your award :second: Bahahaha! I'm still the best!

It wasn't too bad! It was a little scary. I think the worst part is how long it takes. It's so nerve wracking!

Ehhh I want pretty sand! :) Glad the kitty litter worked well for you.

I went bare bottom in my fuge and prefer it. I can clean any detritus out of it and don't have to worry about disturbing a DSB. I filled it with rubble, mangroves, and cheato. I now have GHA and cyano taking over the rubble. Zero algae in the DT.

$50 says your display fuge will turn in to a kelp garden with seahorses in it. I think that would look really nice actually. Hmmmm....
