I like the red algae also. They had some at the LFS last weekend but it was a very little piece so I passed on it. I have chaeto and capulara in mine now that seems to be growing pretty well. I was thinking about getting some red mangroves but I am undecided as of now.

Where did everybody get their 6500k CFL bulbs for their fuges? I've checked all my nearby hardware stores and nobody carries bulbs that high. Grrrrr

Oh, also, does my fuge need a heater? Or will the water stay warm enough on its own?

    Shouldn't need a heater

Try Home Depot or Lowe's, maybe Ace

    I got mine at Lowe's. I couldn't find a 6500k at HomeDepot.

Did you see the new pic?!? :)

Okay, I haven't checked Lowe's yet. I've checked two Home Depots. I'll try to get to Lowe's tomorrow - kind of a pain to get there!

Yeppers, the fuge is lookin' purty! I also like the red macros. I got some Red Gracilaria from john in my fuge an like the deep red alot. Most of the red macros like very low light though. I had to put a black piece of plastic above my Red G. to shade it a bit. If it is in bright light, the red colors fades and it turns light pink-white.

Hahaha yah, that's what I said when i got it in my fuge and it started turning white. LOL It looks cool in a shaded area though. Deep red look and it grows pretty quick. ;)
