Looking very good! When you get a bulb make sure to get CFL-R's. and take the bell reflector off. The internal ballast of cfl's has been known to be a fire hazard if there isn't good air flow around them and the risk is increased if they are not positioned vertical. The BrightEffects CFL-R has an internal reflector and is a little safer than the curly q bulbs.

Wow - thanks SO much for the information. I worry about overheating and fires so much. I'll check Lowe's and see if they have that exact bulb.

How many hours will I need the light to be on for the macro algae?

Run it when your daylights are off.

You can have a reverse light cycle. I have mine set up so the fuge lights come on with the tank lights AND then when they shut off another light kicks on over some chaeto in my sump. I really don't need because I have excellent gas exchange through falling water and open surface area but hey, a night light is always a good thing.

Everything should be OK with the bulbs RM suggested.

I'm planning on ordering them tomorrow!! Should I get them all at one time, or is it necessary to go slow in adding them?

ooo nice! i am actually receiving a shipment tomorrow :p

Well most will do okay... the occasional harder macro will need a mature sand bed or else an established fuge.
One macro that i have great success with is the pencil cap. I have two new sprouts this month and one new sprout last month. I added the macro just over 2 months ago... they grow quite fast :)
I would say that with a majority of them you will be okay with. One macro that i just cant keep though is ulva! i think that everything snacks on it and eats it to death :-/
