Fuge bulkhead placements help!

So I'm about ready to cut the holes into my fuge but I'm not sure where I should put them...

input bulkhead
size .5"

output bulkhead
size 1.5"

the following pictures are what I had in mind...however I'm looking for ALL input. I have not cut holes yet, so its not to late for me to do it a "better" way.

Option 1...

input is .5" on the lip of the acrylic then it just falls in
output is a 1.5" bulkhead high to one corner and the water just flows into it and out.






Option 2
Input is a .5" bulkhead that has a 90 degree angle with a pvc pipe with holes drilled into it.

output is a lower bulkhead 1.5" that has a 90 degree angle and a pipe that comes up and the water drains down the pipe and out.
