    A $5 13W 6500 CFL will work just as well and should last a few years. That LED spotlight would probably be way overkill and be too much light!

    +1 to overkill... As I mentioned, it will grow under almost anything. So like he said, a cheap light will work fine. LED will definitely last longer, omit less heat, an use less energy... But probably irrelevant in this case because its just cheato.
