There seems to be 2 main schools of thought on lighting a fuge. One being to light on the opposite schedule of your DS, the other is to just light the fuge 24/7. That said, I'd like some feedback from 3reef! The fuge section of my 30 gal sump is probably about 8-10 gallons, and contains 2-3 inches of sand, some LR/rubble, my heater, and some chaeto. I'm lighting with a small PC.

Also, what kind of critters are best to add? Snails? Hermit crabs? Something else?

    Thanks!

CUC= clean up crew (snails, hermits, etc)
mantises= mantis shrimp. not safe with any other living thing haha hence they live (divided) in my fuge

I run opposite of my DT light for pH stability. Nothing else in the fuge except Chaeto, LR, pods... and nar. snails to "sift" the DBs some. No CuC.
