Fuge Q?

    Alright well im planning on making a 20g long sump/fuge. Im trying to plan this real good, The question is when the water from my dt enters the fist chamber is it bad to put the skimmer in that chamber to? Thanks.

    Iv seen it done that way a lot. As long as you have a filter sock on the intake tube it should be no problem.

    The sock is to keep micro bubble correct? And lets say if you dont have that why would it be bad? Sorry just questions i would like to know :)

    Ya its mostly for micro bubbles. I dont know enough about skimmers to say if bubbles in them would be bad.

    if there are no bubbles in the skimmer - its not working ?

    the sock or prefilter is to ensure no solids get dragged in and reduce efficiency of skimmer
    a sock or other form of diffuser on the skimmer output helps prevent micro bubbles being pushed around your DT
