I have a question for the experts here at 3reef - I have a 40B set up as a sump/fuge. Last week, I finally got rid of all of the bio balls and have loaded it up with live rock. Should I put a CUC in the fuge section? Right now there is about 25 lbs of LR, 20 lbs of sand and chaeto.

Yes, if you don't have a CUC to clean up the detritus, it will be just as bad of a nitrate factory as your bio-balls were.

Thanks. That was my thought as well, I just wanted a second opinion.
