funny story about hungry mushrooms

    as i gave my fish a goodnight snack of some flake treats with a little garlic on them (i sware my fish are italian) i saw the strangest thing my moshrooms actualy grabed flakes as they floated by and ate them has anyone else ever seen this it was kewl to watch i didnt know they would do that

    that would be very cool to watch RGA107
    never seen it myself - did once see an Elephant ear coral, ball up and engulf a purple tang
    and had to get my hand in to release it - tang was OK although a little shell shocked
    Elephant ear was none the worse for the interupted meal.

    most corals eat flake I think if you get it in the right size. I would make a soup out of some flake to feed if I was short on mysis and it worked. GARF used to recommend it for gorgs.

    +1 for the gorgs. I grind it up pretty fine and mix it with a little phyto and tank water. I have been getting excellent growth from my yellow feeding nothing but that concoction.
