    If they were longer, I would say those are juvenile digitate hydroids.

    they almost look like sponge spicules

    i'll watch it and see what it does - if it develops more i'll get another picup - its like clear whit fuzzy ness :p

    I think I had that on a new live rock. I took a toothbrush to it, didn't trust it.

    I second this opinion.. I have lot's of it.. had purple and green hair algae on some live rock I bought which died due to lack of nutrients in my tank.. looks like that now!
