My sail fin has been in qt for over a month. It had developed a fuzzy white spot white spot that is now the size of a popcorn kernel. Now 3 more of these spots have started. It's has had a round of coppersafe and maracinoxy. It is 100 percent not ich!!! I need help! Spots look like they are fuzzy, really odd.

Lymphocystis. A normally harmless virus. With good care, it will go away on it's own.

It can take weeks to months for it to completely go away. As long as the fish is in a healthy environment and eating well, it will go away on it's own.

That's not necessary. You would be better getting it settled into the DT. My Emperor came down with it early on, and it wasn't transfered to any other fish.

Totally agree - lymphocystis. One of my anthias had it. It will go away (fish only die from it if it covers the mouth and stops them from eating) in a few weeks. My fish had it for about 4 weeks. It's a virus, so you can't treat it. Just good food, clean water, etc.

Not necessary to keep it in QT. It is rarely contagious. Usually only contagious by way of net.

The fact that it is possibly contagious is a good enough reason to keep it out of the 90 dt for now.
