Browish kind of dots, almost faint. Do you think this would hurt (stresS) more than help? something weird is hitting a couple of my fish. They are eating and for th most part acting normal but something is certainly going on

I would take one but they tank is blacked out and I don;t want to stress the fish. Almost looks like mold spores if that makes sense? Just on two of the fish. Not sure how anything could of got into the tank. I quarantined everything and the tank the other fish came from never had any disease.

I would not dip until you have to. Stressed fish+Freshwater Dip+Return to tank with same pathogen present, only to quickly become reinfected=Dead fish.

Which fish or fishes is it?

    Are you thinking Flukes?

Do you have any medications to treat?

Brownish description does not sound like Cryptocaryans, which looks almost exactly like grains of salt.

I have never had flukes before- no idea how they would of gotten into the tank. I don't have anything to treat them. At this point I am taking out the Nikon....

The 4 spot butterfly and Harlequin tusk are showing the greats (lots) of signs. Other fish maybe have a spot but appear fine otherfish. I took a fish of one of the new fish who appears fine but has a weird "owie"

FWIW, many wild-caught fish carry dormant ich parasites in their gills which are only "awakened" when the fish become stressed. A QT doesn't help unless treatment is administered, but they can live their entire lives without an outbreak if they're never stressed to that point.

That said, I've never heard of brown ich. OTOH, most fish change colors and develop spots that are nothing more than pigmentation. This can occur during any type of mood change.

Flukes are parasites, tons of different types but some appear as brown patches. Angels are famous for carrying flukes.
