    Is "acropora spp." the spongodes that you referenced?

    When one sees Acropora spp. or any genus followed by "spp." for that matter it means the person refering to the organism is unsure of the genus....

    Spongodes is a MONTIPORA.... you might see it listed as M. Confusa also but they are different species, look similar but spongodes grows up more instead of as encrusting as the M.confusa does.
