Thank you for the kind words, everyone. I know, I should probably start posting more incrementally, instead of blasting you guys with a giant update once per year :

 

This little fishy followed me home (at least that's what I told my bf!)

You can also see that I decided to get the Reef Octopus Diablo skimmer. LOVE IT! :sweethear

Ha! That is my super high-tech way of keeping the tube from my RO unit in place when I'm topping the tank off 8)

Hmm I suppose it's time for my semi-annual update

Most of my corals are the squishy kind, but I do have several LPS. And my zoanthid garden is sporting some new additions. My serpent star is now nearly a foot in diameter, as is my LTA during the day.

I've had one death, a carpet-surfing goby, who inspired me to build a screen for the top. It was much easier than I thought it would be, and now I'm kicking myself for not doing it sooner.

I don't have many additions in the fish department (I don't have room for any more) but I did get a great deal on a Candy Stripe Basslet, who was too shy for a picture. I also picked up a pair of peppermint shrimp because a couple of the zoas I got from a LFS had some aiptasia.

My system is still easy-breezy and low maintenance - It's not fancy, but it's perfect for me and I love being in the "sweet spot" with it.
