    I have a galaxea coral a little bigger than a soft ball for about 2 years. I have had it in the middle of my tank and at the top. It is currently at the very top and in high current.
    I find the more current they get the longer they extend and possibly sting other corals.
    Every time that I have moved mine the area I touch usually around the bottom will die off but that portion grows back within a month or so for me. As for overall growth they are pretty slow growers. So I would try to move it as little as possible. I find they are pretty tolerant of medium to high light.

    Yeah, the move is what killed it. I was making room for this monti. I am now getting rid of the monti. I have touch it as well and have that they are sensitive to touch, but never saw any problems. Sucks.
