    What does it look like? Stringy, with a bulbed tip? If so that is galaxeas nemotocysts, or their way of attacking surrounding corals.

    Could be sweepers or it's intestines. To go along with the Doc's input, sometimes the sweepers on certain Galaxia species looks very fine and stringy.

    Ya stringy with bulbed tip. I'm sorry I'm not sure what "aiptasia" is. I have no coral even near it.
