galaxy coral extending out

Galaxy coral with some extension. This guy is about 10 inches long and can extend its polyps about 10 to 12 inches. He requires some space but I still like him.

 

They also require good flow to keep matter from building up on them. If they are in a low flow area then you should turkey baster them every few days. I like mine as well, make sure you keep them away from other corals as they will sting them with the long tennicals.

 

Yes and anything in the 10 to 12 inch area can be wiped out because of the stingers.

I love the galaxea, yours is much nicer than mine though! Mine is just a baby only about 2 inch sweepers

 

The only thing I seem to be able to keep near it is a horn coral or (brittle Coral) and some zoas. It does not seem to bother them. I have a large montipora cap that is about 8 inches away that shows the stings every now and then.

 

ahhhhhhhhhhh the dreaded sweepers i keep mine nexto the glass so the curent blows his sweepers onto the glass that he can sting to his vascular systems content lol .
