Is this a galaxy coral? The Neon green one in the center of the rack? And also it looks like it is shrinking a little bit and not as happy as when i first put him in the tank on the rack about a week ago. The other Picollipora and Bird Nest and Favia look fine? I have had all these corals on this rack at about mid level in my aquarium for a week. Is it safe to move them onto the reef now?

Do you have a pic from when you first put it in your tank?

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
Yes that is a galaxy. Moving should not be a problem, just make sure the galaxy does not go too close to anything they have VERY strong sweeper tentacles. You may try feeding it, it may expand more.

Ok now I am confused the last pictures you posted is a galaxy. The first picture does look like hydnophora. Hydnophora needs placement out of reach from other corals as well.

    First link galaxy

    Tooth Coral

    Second link encursting hydnophora

    Horn Coral, Encrusting

    Gotta love liveaquaria:)

Terminology wise, it's not a "Galaxy" coral, it appears to be a "Galaxea" coral, but it's hard to tell without a closer pic.

ok, well whether it be a tooth coral of a horn coral is around 38 gallons per hour turnover enough to support it? I have it currently in a 14gal biocube with 537 gallons per hour flow rate?
