Well I got a free 5 inch wide Galexia coral today, and its currently floating in a bag in the tank. Just want to see if my BC29 light will be able to support it, and if so where should I place it?

Mid tank should be fine. Give it plenty of space they have very long sweepers.

+1 to the very long sweepers. That's the only thing keeping me from getting some myself. With a small tank like ours, it really limits how much other stuff you can put in there.

I have found that it depends on how much flow it has on it. But they don't come out more then 4-5 inches if that

hm im not sure but i think im kinda regretting bringing galaxia home, I think his in a safe spot, more then 6 inches away, but It looks so dull by it self lol.

Another question: Would I be able to place the galaxia on the sand bed with just the PC lighting?
I have nothing on the sand bed for good space,

I have one that did quite well under the Biocube PC lights. I placed high in the top left corner (you can see it in that same picture from yesterday). This keeps it out of direct light and the sweeper tentacles go up not down so I am able to keep things below it. They are really pretty but grow quickly :). Tentacles on mine go up about 2-3 inches but there are a lot of them.

So i guess I cant place them on sand bed? And seeing how you say tentacles dosnt go down, you're right, i guess if I have a current going towards the galaxia I guess the tentacles will go to the water flow direction which would be towards edge of the tank, since the galaxia is at the edge but at the top left

Also when does the Galaxia start to show its sweeper tentacles? Its funny when i brought this home from a local guy, I touched the galaxia alot finding a perfect spot for him, but he never closes?
He still looks the same as when he was in his previous owner tank, never closed fully opened, even when I moved it around
